Beijing contains a truly outstanding, if not somewhat bewildering, selection of golf courses and country clubs. Golf has never been more popular in China and close to Beijing you will find more than 20 golf courses, many of which offer outstanding facilities, including pro shops, golfing academies, terrace restaurants and gardens.

Many golf courses lie within easy driving distance of the very heart of Beijing and can be found close to the Central Business District, Changping, Chaoyang, Tiananmen Square, the China World Trader Centre and also the Grand Canal. Further golf courses lie in the golden triangle region, bordering Beijing, together with both Hebei and Tianjin.


Of particular interest and on the western side of Beijing is the popular Pine Valley Golf Resort and Country Club, which was designed by none other than Jack Nicklaus. The Honghua International Golf Club has been play by Nick Faldo on numerous occasions and has also hosted the prestigious Volvo China Open championship. Within central Beijing, the Grand Epoch City Garden is home to an appealing nine-hole golf course, which is floodlit and can be played at night.
